-Easier to determine sex since they have gone through gone through most bone development

East Necropolis:
Contains the most ancient skeletal remains

Contains the most skeletal remains
-Battle of Himera occurred on the coastal plain of this Necropolis, allowing the bodies of soldiers to be placed in mass graves within this site

-possibly due to Himeran soldiers from the Battle of Himera being males over 18
